Canal Lachine is a canal passing through Griffintown neighbourhood in Montreal. (Montreal South-Western). This place was named National Site of Canada in 1996, thus became property of the Canadian federal government.

Originally the canal was used to transport materials from a place to another. After St Laurent seaway opening, the canal became the ideal place for boaters.

With his natural landscape and numerous parcs, Canal Lachine is considered as one of Montreal most popular place during summer. Having a Picnic, going to hike or riding bicycles are some of the outside activities that you could have on Lachine area.
